Le Glava Tour of Norway started in the best possible way for IAM Cycling.

Sébastien Hinault grabbed an excellent 3rd place behind Alexander Kristoff (Katusha) and Edvald Boasson Hagen (Sky).

The road captain of the Swiss Pro Continental team put it down to his experience.

“All day long we stayed out of the wind.  It rained for more than 100 kilometers of the course before we hit the better weather around the final circuit.  The favorite teams were responsible for monitoring the breakaway.  When we saw the finishing straight, we realized that it suited my capabilities since it was made for a puncheur.  And it is true that I have always loved these sorts of finishes.  I succeeded in positioning myself well for the finale, but I didn’t manage to overcome the two ‘locals’.  I am sorry to have missed out on the victory of course, but I did make the podium behind two experts in the field.”

For their part, Directeur Sportif Kjell Carlström as well as Eddy Seigneur welcomed the successful start to the race for IAM Cycling.

“Everything worked perfectly today.  And we have been rewarded with a third place finish with Sébastien Hinault.  It is very good for morale, and we hope to win one by Sunday.”
