In 2014, Nestlé acquired the dermatology division from L’Oréal. Now, Nestlé wants to resell this division, which contains two relatively distinct parts: a consumer-oriented part with brands such as Cetaphil and Proactiv, and a medical-oriented part (products requiring a prescription, such as acne or wrinkle treatments). Colgate and Unilever would be interested in the consumer segment, while private equity groups could buy the rest. This could be worth between CHF 8 and 10 billion.
