Holcim Group has raised its growth targets for the 2023 financial year. Revenue in the first three months contracted by -11.1% mainly due to the sale of the Indian activities in September 2022. However, in organic terms, the multinational increased its sales by +8% over the quarter. The company continued its transformation and its reorientation towards sustainability and high value-added activities. During the quarter, Holcim made 12 acquisitions, including the strategic acquisition of US roofing specialist Duro-Last. The CEO has made it clear that M&A activities have only just begun and that there could be more than 30 over the full year. This should contribute 2% to 3% of sales growth. The roofing and insulation segments, which today represent USD 4 billion in turnover, should thus double in the coming years.
