Note: The Swiss professional team will be without the services of Vicente Reynes for the Belgian races this weekend (Het Nieuwsblad et Kürne-Bruxelles-Kürne).  The Mallorcan professional is suffering from prostatitis complicated by a urinary infection.  Since he will need to be taking antibiotics, Reynes will hand over his Nieuwsblad spot on the team to Pirmin Lang, while Aleksejs Saramotins will take his place at Kürne-Brussels-Kürne.  Reynes program in the coming weeks will be reviewed with the sports management and will be adjusted according to his recovery process.

Dominic Klemme will be at both events in any case, and the rider from the German town of Bielefeld will be racing in memory of his friend and teammate Kristof Goddaert.

And even if the German IAM Cycling rider prefers to deal with his grief in private, this weekend he can be found on Goddaert’s favorite roads in Belgium with the intention of helping the team shine, and even win.  Nothing could be a more satisfying result to dedicate to their fallen teammate.

“We will do everything to win one of these two races.  Although the competition, as with all events of this caliber, will be formidable, we have a team capable of setting the tone.  Personally, I am here to do my work for the crew, most particularly to support Haussler and Chavanel, our leaders for these next classics.”

Dominic Klemme feels his condition is on the rise since his return from Qatar.

“After our training camp in Mallorca, the Tour of Qatar was perfect to help me ratchet up my condition a notch or two.  The wind increased the difficulty, but it also helped to prepare us for what we are likely to face on the windswept roads of the Flandrien Classics.  Then, back at home, I was able to fine tune my condition in perfect circumstances for the races which will be my first major goals of the season.”
