“With this Tour Méditerranéen, we approach the season in good conditions.
Indeed, I am satisfied with Matteo Pelucchi’s second place yesterday and the time trial today.
Despite impressive shots of Mistral wind – Matthias Brändle has paid the fees, a small fall after three kilometers – and a very demanding road in the last two kilometers (an average of 15% for a max. of 23%), the team generally did a very good performance.
Two men in the top 10 – Löfkvist Thomas (4th) and Gustav Larsson (10th) and Stefan Denifl 20th. We are well positioned in the individual standings and currently fourth in the team standings.
Tomorrow’s stage was canceled, we will make a 140 kilometers training and rest a bit before going back on the road Saturday.”
