“Another good day today!

Everything went almost as we planed at the briefing this morning.

Of course we were looking for the stage win, but finally we’ve made a very good operation today. Thomas Löfkvist was at 43 seconds of the leader this morning, he is now at two seconds with his sixth place today.

We have 3 men in the top 11 in the general standing – Thomas Löfkvist third, Gustav Larsson ninth and Stefan Denifl eleventh. We also won a place in the team standings in which we are currently third.

Add to that the hard work of Aleksejs Saramotins in the breakaway and the work of the whole team for Thomas, yes, you can say I’m happy.

A true group dynamic is being created, and I congratulate my men for it.

Tomorrow we expect a hard stage on a route taken from the Tour du Haut-Var. The few seconds we need may seem small but it will take hard work to thwart the plans of teams such as Radioshack-Leopard-Trek.

For us to take this opportunity!”
