Three days after completing the Tour of Romandie, Sébastien Reichenbach found himself joining the right move at the Rund um den Finanzplatz Eschborn-Frankfurt or the GP de Francfort.

The young rider from the Valais region in Switzerland garnered third place in the mountains classification with his escape, before seeing Simon Spilak (Katusha) outstrip Moreno Moser t my hand.

“I went away with the morning breakaway, which included nine other riders.  And we were on the pointy end of the peloton for nearly 160 kilometers.  They dragged us back at the foot of the last climb and I was still able to hang with the pack.  This proves that I have recovered from my efforts at Romandie, and I will be anxious to see how my day on Saturday for the Tour of Bern goes.”

On his first race since taking a well-earned break after Paris-Roubaix, Heinrich Haussler pulled out of today’s event before the final circuit.  The Australian rider for IAM Cycling is in the midst of his preparations to be in top shape for the Tour of Switzerland.
