The Tour of Switzerland will not be the only stage race facing IAM Cycling this week.

Eddy Seigneur and Rubens Bertogliati will direct their riders to put on a good show around the roads of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.

As with their most recent stage race performance where they managed to win a stage (Haussler), the climber’s jersey (Denifl), and the team standings, IAM Cycling will want to head to Luxembourg with the goal of influencing the outcome of the race.  And looking at the stage profiles, the team managers will have multiple cards to play in order to fulfill their ambitions.

Jonathan Fumeaux knows he’s in good form and can be ambitious this week, having put in a strong escape on the final of the Boucles de l’Aulne ten days ago, and placed a strong 8th place in the GP d’Argovie this past Thursday.

“I have excellent sensations in the legs.  The souplesse is there.  Therefore, I have high hopes that I will be competitive with the best of them and play a role in the overall standings.  Just reviewing the course descriptions on the race website already gives indicators of where we can be active.  At least two stages will give us perfect opportunities to do a good performance.  And the team will also be well stocked with attackers and sprinters.”
