Saturday, June 10th Unicef organised in Crans-Montana, the event Cycling for Children. Under a sunny blue sky, more than 1’000 cyclists rode the 14 or 20km long tour. Some did it once, some twice and a few very motivated even 6 times. All participants, riding for fun or with a more competitive spirit, had the same aim: support Unicef in their actions to help children.

As sponsor of the event IAM participated actively. The IAM stands, in the village and on the tour, proposed games for children and drinking bottles and other useful goodies for young and older cyclists. But it was especially thanks to its participation to the general effort (by riding the 20km tour) and so collecting money for Unicef, that the IAM Team composed of 15 members, mainly IAM associates, led by Michel Thétaz, founder of IAM and Paul Plexi, winner of “La nouvelle star”, did distinguish itself.

At the end of the day there were many tired but happy faces, more than 10’000km had been covered and more than CHF 450’000.- collected for Unicef.
